Dr Steve Rawle, Senior Lecturer in Film & Television Production, said: “It was great to welcome Chris back to York St John and congratulate him on all his success since graduating. He gave an inspiring talk to the students about his journey after finishing his degree; about founding his own company, going to the National Film and Television School and awards success with The Bigger Picture.

“The insight into the film industry was invaluable and plugged directly into many of the things we teach on the programme, like creative producing, storytelling and understanding the business of media.”

The film producer attended York St John University between 2005 and 2008 before going on to the National Film and Television School in London. He is now based in London and works in film production and development.

Chris said: “Studying at York St John gave me the grounding in film and television I needed to produce a feature film straight after graduating.

“I worked closely with the Careers Service at the University and they encourage the entrepreneurial spirit I still have now which has given me the determination to get this far, and this is only the beginning.”
