Prospective students to get a taste of York St John University life

York St John University is expecting high attendance at its forthcoming open days with almost 2000 prospective students already registered to attend its open days, which start on Monday 2 July.

The University will open its doors to visitors eager to find out more about what York St John University has to offer.  Most students make this a family day out and total numbers on campus are expected to be around 3,000 – 4,000 per day. The high numbers reflect an on-going growth in applications to York St John University.  This year the University has experienced one of the highest expansions in applications in the UK with an 11% increase for courses starting this autumn.

York St John University is based in the heart of York and is home to approximately 6,000 students studying on a range of full and part-time courses and with a strong employability record.

The University’s award winning campus has undergone a £90 million transformation over the past 10 years to ensure students benefit from the right environment in which to study and live. The latest project is the acquisition of the York St John University Sports Centre Nestle Rowntree Park and the Joseph Rowntree Theatre which will both see significant benefits to the whole student community. 

Open days take place throughout the summer with the first one on Monday 2 July. The following dates are Saturday 18 August, Saturday 8 September, Saturday 27 October and Wednesday 31 October.
